Diggers You Done A Mighty Odd Thing

Diggers oh Diggers you done a mighty strange thing
In coming into this life at all you done a mighty strange thing

Your bottom is where your top should be
Your ears are made out of chutney and cheese
At night you dream of juke boxing teams is that any way to be

Diggers oh Diggers you done a mighty weird thing
Just walking into a restuarant at all you done a mighty weird thing

You fill your plate with fungus tell the waiter that he's a has been
You wash your face liberally in any old sooting dust it seems
No wonder the man snubs you and calls you unclean

Diggers oh Diggers you done a mighty odd thing
In getting dressed at all you done a mighty odd thing

You got your trousers where your shirt should be
We all wish you'd take yourself out of the washing machine
Your face might be sooty black but your soul comes up with a gleam

Diggers oh Diggers you live a mighty peculiar way
In learning to swim at all  you done it a mighty peculiar way

You dived into the ocean disappeared for a year and a day at least
You went to a place called Malimaga and met the Julibob beast
You tamed it, or it tamed you, then you sat down for a feast

Diggers oh Diggers you done a mighty curious thing
In waking up at all you done a mighty curious thing

You played  pinball on the moon and thought it great
Then faintly heard your Mother calling 'It's time for school dear, don't be late'
